I am not sure how much longer there will be that excitement and anticipation in Phillipa at the thought of the Easter Bunny and what he / she might bring for her this year. It is so much fun to play along and encourage her imagination and I know that I will miss it when it is gone… well baby number 2 will have her turn too for sure!
We usually hide our eggs in the house and the garden and draw a map for Phillipa to follow but this year since Phillipa is reading, we are going to combine the map with Clue Cards. I made up rhymes to accompany picture clues and put them on cards so that she can manage the hunt on her own. I got the idea from Happy Home Fairy.
If you don’t fancy the traditional Easter Egg hunt route, how about trying a Hunt for your Lunch? Gluesticks has come up with this ingenious idea and I think I may just use it for one of the other hunts we will no doubt be involved in 🙂
And if during the day doesn’t work for you, how about trying it at night? Raising Little Disciples shows us how to do this with glowsticks and a little creativity. These look fabulous and make a refreshing change to the traditional hunt.
