Well, we are in that week where school breaks up and plans are in place for things to do with the kids to make the most of the lead up to Christmas. Here is a list of things we are going to try to get through before school commences again in January.
- Ice skating at the Natural History Museum
- A visit to the Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park
- A visit to the Christmas Markets on the Southbank
- See Santa Claus and the Christmas Adventure at the Ambassadors Theatre
- Make goodies for Hamper Presents (we are making our Christmas gifts this year)
- Enjoy Log Cabin in the North Yorkshire Moors and trips to York and the surrounding countryside 🙂
Here are a few more Christmas crafts that I thought were brilliant, easy to do and fun to make… Here are some very cute Christmas Crackers by Mini Eco, see here for how to make them.
I am a big fan of Hobbycraft.co.uk and their ideas library is full of loads of interesting things to make and do. Here are a few of my festive season favourites… See here for how to make these painted glass baubles. We are making these this year and hope to have them as a keepsake for Christmas each year so will include the year made and “artist” and see what we come up with each year. There are so many things you can stuff inside as well, including pot pourri, photos, and multi coloured confetti.
See here for how to make these Candy Cone Decorations. Could really be filled with anything… that you don’t mind being snuck off the tree if that is where you put them or otherwise for dessert for the table at a party perhaps.
See here for some gift wrapping ideas. I thought that these were so simple and fun and of course great for winter, but no reason you couldn’t change the leaves to poinsettia’s or to show a summer theme if that is what you are after at this time of the year.
Here is something for the table or just around the house over the festive season. They could also make lovely gifts too, if you are thinking of making yours this year. See how to decorate these candles here
Again, hope that you are enjoying the Festive Season. For those travelling, be safe and have a fabulous time. For those staying put, enjoy the sanctity of home and time with family and friends x
